Job Description:

The weather and air traffic control team is in charge of developing a route for Santa and the reindeer, a route that avoids boughs of bad weather and human aircrafts on Christmas Eve.

Air traffic and weather are monitored in a large control centre, located just north of the main village. We work hard all year to scour weather patterns and take note of common flight routes. As the big night nears, we establish a route that allows Santa to arrive in each town on schedule while maintaining a cover of invisibility.

Once Santa has departed for deliveries, our job is far from over. We will keep an eye on changing circumstances and report immediately to Santa what areas he needs to avoid, rerouting him when necessary.

On the lead up to Christmas, experts work closely with the sleigh mechanic and reindeer operations to ensure the sleigh and the reindeer are prepared for whatever harsh weather conditions they may face the night of Christmas Eve.

Responsibilities:

• Test drive sleighs
• Develop new delivery tactics and routes
• Track Santa via GPS
• Reroute Santa when danger or detection is present

Requirements:

• Keen understanding of Northern light patterns
• Degree in meteorology or a similar specialty
• 3 years’ experience in map-making
• 2 years’ experience in I Spy or puzzle-solving
