Santa’s workshop works hard every year to ensure that no child is left without a present during the holiday season. This includes those that celebrate Christmas, but also those who celebrate Hanukkah. Although it isn’t as well-known as the Christmas division, the Hanukkah department at the North Pole plays an important role in ensuring that children across the world have a happy holiday.

Giving to charity is an important Hanukkah activity for many Jewish families, and we here at Northern Post Careers continue this tradition with our skilled team of fundraising elves. If you get a sense of joy from helping those who need it most, then you might be the perfect fit for our charity division.

Job Description:

Putting the “Fun” in Fundraising

Our hardworking team of charitable elves are some of the kindest souls in the North Pole. In a workplace already brimming with holiday spirit, our fundraisers shine above the rest, thanks to their dedication to ensuring a happy holiday for everyone. It isn’t always easy to get the other elves excited about donating money, which is why you will be responsible for wrapping it up in fun and engaging activities.

Some of our successful fundraising projects from years past include:

• Santa dunk tank
• Bake sale
• Flying sleigh rides
• North Pole talent show (a crowd favourite, who knew Mrs. Claus could do that?)
• Reindeer petting zoo
• Fear Factor (don’t ask)

Responsibilities:

• Develop fundraising ideas and events
• Organize donation campaigns
• Research sponsors
• Solicit donations
• Distribute gifts and donations back into the community

Requirements:

• Degree in marketing or communications
• 2 years’ experience in show-and-tell
• 5 years’ experience in tag
• 10 years’ experience in sharing and caring

Picking Up the Slack

A lot of people ask us: “why not just make more presents?” to which we respond, “have you ever tried to make billions of toys?” The Fundraising Department of the North Pole plays the crucial role of filling in the gaps left by our toy workshop and making sure that every child gets what they deserve during the holiday season.
