The Job
The Gingerbread Housebuilder is responsible for the planning, design, and construction of all gingerbread housing. This is vital to the North Pole’s continued success as a manufacturer and service provider.
The Gingerbread Housebuilder should enjoy working outdoors, particularly in below-freezing temperatures. They should be skilled with their hands and have a deep understanding of gingerbread baking and structural engineering principles. This varied role offers a range of duties and responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who wants to develop a plethora of skills.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with designers to create new house designs
- Produce related structural designs, schematics, and project specification documents
- Oversee project development
- Construct housing, fortifications, and other gingerbread buildings
- Repair structures when necessary
- Contribute to ongoing maintenance of all gingerbread structures
- Live, laugh, love
Requirements:
- 5 years’ experience with AutoCAD
- 5 years’ experience in gingerbread construction
- Bachelor’s degree in Gingerbread Housing or Gingerbread Engineering, or equivalent experience in a similar field
- A go-getter personality
- Ability to work and communicate with others
- Fluent in English, Dwarvish, and Elvish
- Ability to lift up to 50 elf-lbs
